AISHE Problem-based learning Special Interest Group

		       Upcoming Workshops

1) Advanced PBL workshop-Reflections on facilitation: examining
   our approaches.

This workshop on Friday 7th February will be facilitated by
Dr. Maggi-Savin Baden in the DIT Learning and Teaching Centre,
   14 Upper Mount St., Dublin 2, 10.00 a.m - 4.00 p.m. This is an
advanced workshop for staff who are currently working as PBL
tutors in a PBL curriculum. Maggi insists that the passport
to gain entry to the workshop is to arrive with a video of
5-10 minutes of yourself working as a PBL tutor. This is a
definite requirement as these videos will be reflected on in
the workshop. To apply for this workshop phone Terry Barrett
   on 4027882.

2) An Introduction to problem-based learning

   What is problem-based learning?
How do you write effective problems?
How does a PBL tutorial work?

This workshop is on Monday 28th April and will be facilitated
by Terry Barrett in the DIT Learning and Teaching Centre, 14
   Upper Mount St., Dublin 2, 10.00 a.m - 4.00 p.m. To book a
place, please phone Hilda Browne on 4027870.
