Keynotes & Speakers: All Ireland Conference on Learning, Teaching and Assessment in Further and Higher Education

AISHE is happy to announce the following keynote and invited speaker for the All Ireland Conference on Learning, Teaching and Assessment in Further and Higher Education in Marino, October 30. See this link for more details, and registration (which closes Oct 20).

Keynote speaker: Professor Roni Bamber, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh

Roni is Director of the Centre for Academic Practice at Queen Margaret University, where her research focus has been on managing enhancement within universities, and how we can support staff to continuously improve the student experience. She was Chair (2014-17) of the Scottish Enhancement Theme on Student Transitions, and was previously Chair of the Learning from International Practice in the Taught Postgraduate Student Experience project. She has extensive experience of working internationally across Europe, the Middle East, India and Nepal, both in academic enhancement and staff development.

Invited speaker: Peter Cullen, Quality and Qualifications Ireland

Peter Cullen is Head of Validation and Delegation in QQI’s Quality Assurance Directorate. Previously he was responsible for Framework Standards and Guidance in QQI’s Qualifications Services Section. Prior to this he was Head of Standards, Research and Policy Development with the Higher Education and Training Awards Council. Peter trained as an engineer and lectured in Engineering Science at Trinity College Dublin from 1990 until 2002 when he took up a post at the Higher Education and Training Awards Council.
