The purpose of this paper is to understand as to what changes are needed in the e-learning provided by western companies so that their products would be useful and successful in China. An exhaustive study was done to understand the Chinese learner both in Ireland and China. This gave insight into what changes need to be made to the existing elearning products if they are to be acceptable and successful in Chinese Universities and markets. This paper mentions these findings which are significant for elearning industry as well as Irish Universities if they would like to cater to big market of Chinese students. An elearning prototype has been developed with the modifications as recommended by the Authors. Presently it is in the phase of testing and the results obtained are being analysed. We hope to present the results in recent future.
