It gives me great pleasure to invite you to a one day event on the theme of Assessing Student Learning. This is one in a series of AISHE Regional Seminars, supported by NDP funding under the terms of the Training of Training Programme.
Phil Race of has agreed to come and lead our discussions. In a recent paper he has said:
... assessment is indeed broken in higher education nowadays, and needs fixing. In this article, I'd like to take you through some tough thinking about assessment, and encourage you to play your part in working towards fixing it.
The format will be a combination of formal input and interactive workshop sessions. We will commence at 10.30 a.m. and aim to close at 4.30 p.m.
