Professor Ray Land is currently Professor of Higher Education and Director of the Centre for Academic Practice and Learning Enhancement at the University of Strathclyde. As part of his work within the Centre he is Programme Director of the Certificate/Diploma in Advanced Academic Studies. Ray is a member and founding accreditor of the Higher Education Academy (UK). His research interests include the theory and practice of educational development, threshold concepts and troublesome knowledge, and theoretical aspects of digital learning.
