AISHE is a professional society whose goal is to bring together and support those people who are concerned to advance higher education in the island of Ireland. It promotes the professional recognition and enhancement of teaching and learning in Higher Education through a range of activities including seminars, conferences, publications, and provision of online community forums and services.
We are delighted to announce the first call for submissions for the All Ireland Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (AISHE-J). This call will be formally launched at the AISHE regional seminar at Queen's University Belfast on June 26th 2008. [Posted: 16th June 2008.]
We are pleased to announce another AISHE regional seminar to take place at Queen's University Belfast, on the afternoon of 26th June 2008. The facilitator will be Professor David Boud, Dean of the University Graduate School and Professor of Adult Education, University of Technology, Sydney. The next AISHE regional seminar takes place in the Institute of Technology, Carlow, on 8th May 2008. The International Consortium for Educational Development (ICED) is holding its seventh biennial conference, ICED 2008 (June 12-15, 2008) in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. (All AISHE members are automatically affiliated to ICED.) Important deadlines:

Thanks to generous support from the Higher Education Authority of Ireland (HEA) AISHE is currently recruiting an Administrator (part-time, one year contract). Closing date for applications is 7 December 2007. [Posted: 28th November 2007.]
